Puzzled about Racial Harmony Day? No need because you will get the answers here.
To begin the day, we had Flag Raising with the representatives of the six countries which celebrate their independence in August. We had Indonesia, Korea, India, Pakistan, Singapore and Malaysia. It was a solemn flag raising since every one, including parents and guests showed respect by listening.
Right after that, we got a chance to listen to the eperiences from three students. Lower Primary was represented by Shawn of P3 Friendship, Upper Primary by Ji Ho of Primary 5 Patience and by Nayantara Bhat of Secondary 1 Wisdom. They shared their experiences of living in Indonesia.
We filled up the day by having numerous games. Some traditional games, like Makan Kerupuk, Bakiak Race, Sarong Race and Taking Out Coins from the Papaya were played. Pupils had a lot of fun as was evident in their smiles and loud screams of excitement.
The day culminated with potluck in classrooms. What can be more enjoyable and relaxing after being loaded with exhausting games than having bites of delicious food? It was a perfect ending to an eventful day.
